Named for an 18th century British painting of a bird suffocating to death or something while people watch, these three girls really keep up that dark vibe. C-bird, X-bird, and D-bird are basically what would happen if Bauhaus were a girl band.
And not to bring race into this but, personally coming from the sf bay area, it's REALLY FUCKING GREAT AND REFRESHING to see 2 filipinas and a nepalese/indian girl making Goth/Garage/Punk rock and NOT acoustic or r&b/hip-hop (I'm not hating, i dig some of it, but you know how typical that shit is). Race aside, An Experiment On A Bird In The Air Pump are totally AMAZING and I cant fucking wait for them to hopefully one day play in the States and preferably NOT at a 21+ venue.
